Hi. I am
Italo Ferrante

About me
Italo Ferrante (he/him) earned a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Warwick. He has just completed an MA in Creative Writing at Lancaster University. He is currently working on his PhD project at Manchester Metropolitan University under the supervision of Andrew McMillan.
His poem “Ode to Abruzzo” was shortlisted for the Oxford Brookes’ International Poetry Competition, judged by Caroline Bird in 2022.
To date, his poetry has been selected for publication by Train River, Nymphs & Thugs, Dreich, Reinvention, Poetry Salzburg, Impossible Archetype, Cardiff Review, Sage Cigarettes, Inflections Magazine, Lighthouse, and Stone of Madness.
Italo likes to think of his work as the literary equivalent of bubblegum post-punk (if there ever was such a thing). He likes to engage with pop culture and he is thematically obsessed with food, power dynamics, and body image.
